We've updated how Fiscal Weeks are determined to better align with standard accounting practices. Previously, Rock's fiscal week calculation could create shortened weeks when the calendar year transitioned, which was not the intended behavior.
Now, the first fiscal week of the year is defined as the first week that contains at least four days, based on the configured first day of the week. This correction ensures a more consistent week structure throughout the fiscal year.
What This Means for You:
- Some dates may now belong to a different fiscal week than before.
- If your reports rely on fiscal week numbering, review them to ensure alignment with the new calculation.
Possible Action:
If you use Rock's BI tools and have a fiscal start month other than January, you will want to regenerate your calendar dimensions and it's a good idea to check your fiscal reports for any shifts in week assignments.
